Muscat is Oman's largest freehold property market, with prices starting from around OMR 12,000 for a small office and reaching well into the hundreds of thousands for branded waterfront residences. Established neighbourhoods like Qurum, Al Khuwair and Al Ghubra suit buyers who want a finished home close to the city centre, while Al Mouj and Muscat Hills lead on new-build apartments and villas with marina, golf and beach-club amenities. Muttrah and Al Ghubra remain the city's commercial core for retail and office space.
